Acetylene burns hotter than any other commercial fuel gas, which is why oxy-acetylene remains the standard for cutting and gas welding steel. It is supplied as dissolved acetylene — DA gas — absorbed in acetone within a porous mass inside the cylinder, which is what makes it safe to store and transport at pressure.

Yes. Acetylene (DA) Gas is supplied on a cylinder, refill and exchange basis. We supply gas only — we do not sell cylinders. Regular customers go onto a scheduled delivery cycle, so a full cylinder arrives before the one in use runs out.
